Chris has been professionally licensed since 2010. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of South Florida and received his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Chris has also completed certifications through the American Association of Christian Counselors in the following: Professional Life Coach, Professional Mediation, and Family Mediation. Chris has completed Level 3 Practicum in the Gottman Method and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in his work as a marriage counselor.
Chris is committed to preventative based services that help individuals, couples, and families avoid and/or cope with difficult life circumstances. He understands the pain and fear that we may encounter in life and has a heart to help others navigate life in a healthy, hope-focused, strength-based approach. Since 2005, Chris has focused his counseling services on adolescents, couples, male issues, and family relationships. He has many years of experience working in a ministerial position within a church setting. Additionally, Chris has extensive experience as a Program Manager within a larger company and he connects well with company executives in therapy.
Chris’ specialties include, but are not limited to: conflict and communication, addictions including sexual addiction, depression, anxiety, grief, anger management, and marital counseling. His experience, combined with his faith in Jesus Christ and his passion to see families thrive, helps him provide hope to the clients he serves.
Chris enjoys athletics of any kind and enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and kids. Chris and his wife were involved in the foster care ministry and have adopted multiple kids in crisis through this ministry. Chris is a true Floridian, originally from Dade City, just outside of the Tampa Bay area, and grew up loving sports and water activities.
